Today beginning at 11 a.m., the County of Union will release a new block of appointments on its online portal at www.ucnj.org wishing to book a COVID-19 vaccination at the County’s Vaccination Clinic at Kean University in Union. To serve those who live in the western end of Union County, the County will also be opening a vaccination clinic at Plainfield High School from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27th.
Appointments for this clinic can also be made online at www.ucnj.org tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. Please note NO WALKUPS are accepted; you must make an appointment online at the county registration system. Later this week, the County will announce a phone number and opening a call center for appointments aimed at serving seniors ages 65 and older, and those who do not have Internet access.
Berkeley Heights Senior Phone Line
Meanwhile, Berkeley Heights seniors can call a senior-dedicated phone line set up by the Township with vaccine questions, if they do not have a family member, friend or neighbor to assist them. That phone number is: 908-464-2700, x 2229.
This will go directly to voicemail, where residents will leave their info; someone will return your call within 24 hours.
As always, we will provide more information as it becomes available. If you would like to sign up for Mayor Devanney's robocalls with COVID and other senior-specific information, please email seniors@bhtwp.com or leave your name and phone number at the Senior hotline above and we will add you to the list.
Thank you for your patience as we wait additional vaccine information from the state and County. Stay safe.
