Berkeley Heights Downtown Summer Block Party!

Summer Block Party

***Calling all residents, businesses, clubs and non-profit organizations***

Now is the time for your business or organization to start planning for the biggest weekend of the summer – and the event of the year.

After six very successful years of staging a summer street fair on Springfield Ave., the Berkeley Heights Business and Civic has decided to host a more local, inclusive event celebrating all the positive aspects of Berkeley Heights. Hence, the Summer Downtown Block Party!

Scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2019 – earlier in the year to allow more participation before the summer recess – from 1:00-4:00 pm, (a shorter time frame to assist church traffic on Sunday), the Downtown Summer Block Party will be held on Springfield Ave., from Lone Pine Drive to Plainfield Ave. The timing of the event has also been arranged to allow local residents to visit downtown restaurants before, during or after the event.

Saturday will feature the Berkeley Heights Rotary Club Rubber Ducky Festival. Residents can then celebrate all the best of Berkeley Heights at the Summer Block Party. A big weekend for Berkeley Heights. You don't want to be left out!

Less a fundraiser – any profits will be split between the town's Recreation Dept and First Responders – the Summer Block Party will be featuring activities provided by local sports clubs, service organizations, non-profit groups, churches, local businesses and restaurants. On display will be our police, fire and rescue squads, local musicians and celebrities. Rides, games, food trucks and activities will be available for a range of age groups.

Sponsorships are now available and we are currently taking reservations for activity space. Do you have an activity that will spotlight your business or organization? It's a great time to promote your organization – all local service clubs and non-profits will be on the street. Have a local restaurant? Be known.

If you can't make it that day, ride sponsorships are also available Companies that sponsor a ride or activity will be promoted on the ride and on all releases.
