The next Township Council meeting will be held on Tuesday December 7 at 7:00PM. Member of Council, Mayor Devanney, and Administration staff will be participating electronically via ZOOM in this meeting. For this and all future electronic meetings, members of the public will be able to comment by video and comments will also be accepted by email to aminkoff@bhtwp.com or by writer letter to Township Clerk, 29 Park Ave, Berkeley Heights NJ 07922. The first item on the agenda is a conference session on the amendment of Committee Ordinances to make the appointment of members consistent throughout all of the committees.
There will be a public hearing and final adoption of the ordinance establishing the Truth, Community Healing, and Inclusion Committee.
The council will vote on the following resolutions:
- Approve Bill List dated December 7, 2021 in the amount of $1,125,658.41 for vouchers that have been properly approved for processing and payment.
- Authorize transfers of the 2021 current fund.
- Adopt the Union County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
- Authorize a tax settlement for the property located at block 3905, Lot 10 – 111, Winchip Road.
The Council will introduce an ordinance amending Chapter 2.93 Entitled “Communications Committee”, Chapter 2.94 entitled “Downtown Beautification Committee”, Chapter 2.95 entitled “ Memorial Park Renewal Committee”, and Chapter 2.97 entitled “ Peppertown Park Renewal Committee”, to amend the appointment authority for committee members. If the introduction of this ordinance is approved, there will be a public hearing and final vote on this ordinance on December 21, 2021.
