Here’s your chance to make our town blossom this Spring and Summer!
Your neighborhood group, business, or family is invited to sponsor one of the 14 flower baskets installed along Springfield Avenue. Each large basket mounted to lamp poles is filled with flowers shortly after Mother’s Day, adding charm and beauty throughout the warm weather months.
This program, called Fill-a-Basket, is now in its sixth year. The Downtown Beautification Committee manages it with help from the Township DPW, and Hall’s Garden Center & Florist plants the baskets free of charge.
To sponsor a basket at $200 each, please contact the Downtown Beautification Committee at dbc@bhtwp.com.
The volunteers of DBC extend a big “thank you” to the businesses, clubs, and families that sponsored one or more of the Fall/Winter seasonal greenery baskets this past year, including:
Tonia & Anika Ansetta
Berkeley Development Co. L.P.
Berkeley Hardware
Dean’s Greens
The Fuhrmann Family
Goodman’s Deli
Rosaleen & Mark Matthews
The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights
Smith Chiropractic Foundation
The Tile Lady by Christine
Jeanne Kingsley, founder of the Downtown Beautification Committee and long-serving Councilperson, said: “The volunteer members of our committee celebrate the generosity of these sponsors, many of whom have been involved in this initiative since inception. They help make Berkeley Heights a very special place to live, work, and shop.”
