The Winter Walk Committee, business community, members of the Downtown Beautification Committee and Recreation Commission invite you to celebrate the season with several festive events on Saturday, December 2 starting at 10 am.
Families can begin the magical day with a visit with Santa from 10am-1pm at Town Hall - 29 Park Ave, Lower Level - sponsored by the Berkeley Heights Recreation Commission. Enjoy wagon rides, hot cocoa, and meet Santa! Be sure to bring your own camera to the free event to capture the holiday moment. Children are also encouraged to write a letter to Santa! A toy donation for Saint Joseph's Social Center is greatly appreciated. Gifts should be unwrapped for boys and girls.
Continue the day at The Winter Walk, this free event that runs downtown from 3-6 pm. Set along Springfield Ave, thousands will stroll through the winter wonderland of fun featuring 80 family-friendly attractions and activities to enjoy, including performances courtesy of Berkeley Heights businesses, civic groups, and performance groups. Along the route, you will also find holiday-themed photo stations; a chance for children to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, an ice-skating rink in the Town Hall parking lot, games, live music, free hot cocoa, cookies, popcorn, cotton candy, food trucks and much more! The Berkeley Heights Recreation Department's annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Fireworks Display at Peppertown Park will begin immediately following the Winter Walk at 6 pm. The event is brought to you by Garden State Fireworks and Cascade Tree Experts.
Parking for the Winter Walk and the Tree Lighting is at Upper and Lower Columbia Park, 76 Columbia Ave, Berkeley Heights. A trolley will transport visitors between the parking lots and Peppertown Park.
