Meeting Room Policy/Reservations

  1. Meeting Room Policy/Reservations

Berkeley Heights Council, Commissions, Committees, Employees and the BHPL have priority on room usage.

To receive consideration for reserving a room, a group must be from Berkeley Heights and provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Township of Berkeley Heights as additional insured.

Any state and/or congressional elected officials representing Berkeley Heights and/or their representatives/staffers can use the common areas or a designated room in the building to carry out official constitute services and/or other government outreach. This use is strictly for government purposes, no campaigning by any candidates of any government level is allowed. Administration should be notified of any requests and grant such requests if space allows.

  2. Rules Governing Room Usage
    • Groups are responsible for leaving the room in the same condition as when they arrived (i.e. cleanup, move chairs/tables to original position)
    • Groups are responsible for advising Administration if there are any equipment failures
    • The only room where food/beverages other than water are permitted is the Highlander Room
    • Rooms will be booked quarterly on a first-come, first-served basis
    • Rooms are not available for private/family events
    • The Township reserves the right to reschedule a room reservation
